“Indeed as-Safa and al-Marwa are two of the symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or ‘Umrah to perform the walking between them. And whoever does good voluntarily, the Allah is Shakir (the Recogniser and Rewarder of Good), the All-Knowing.” (Surah al-Baqarah :158)
“Indeed those who recite the Book of Allah, and establish the prayers and spend out that which We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a sure trade-gain that will never perish. That He may pay them in full and give them even more out of His Grace. He is the Ever-Forgiving, Shakur (the Appreciative).” (Surah al-Fatir : 29-30)
All praises be to Allah who is known by the Beautiful Names ash-Shakir, the Recogniser and Rewarder of Good, and ash-Shakur, the Appreciative. He is the one who recognises and rewards the small good that we do, and who forgives our large quantity of sins. He is the one who multiplies the rewards of His sincere servants. He is the one who recognises and rewards those who give thanks to Him and who remembers the one who remembers Him. Allah tells us that whosoever seeks to draw closer to Him by doing righteous actions, will find that Allah draws closer to them by a greater degree.
