“There is nothing like Him” (Surah ash-Shura :11)
“There is no one equal to or comparable to Him” (Surah al-Ikhlas :4)
“He is Allah—there is no deity but Him. He is the King, the Holy, the Perfect Peace , the Giver of Security, the Watcher over His creatures, the Almighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glorified is Allah! (High is He) above all they associate as partners with Him.” ( Surah al-Hashr :23)
All praises be to Allah who is known by the Beautiful Name, as-Salam, the Perfect Peace. He is the One who is perfect in every way, and is far removed from any imperfection. This is because when deficiency is removed, all that is left is perfection. Nothing in all of the creation resembles Him in any way.
Allah, in His infinite mercy, bestows His blessings on the believers both in this life and the Hereafter. He tells us:
“Whoever works righteousness – whether male or female – while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).” (Surah an-Nahl :97)
The blissful life that Allah bestows on the believer in both worlds, is a manifestation of Allah’s Attribute of as-Salam upon His faithful servants. A believer who is devoted to Allah and does good deeds to attain His good pleasure, will return to His Lord “…well pleased and well pleasing” (Surah al-Fajr :28). Allah describes what such servants will find in the Hereafter, as follows:
“And Paradise will be brought near to the pious, not far away. It will be said: “This is what you were promised. It is for those oft-returning (to Allah) in sincere repentance, and those who preserve their covenant with Allah, Who fear the Most Gracious (Allah) in the Unseen and brought a heart turned in repentance. Enter you therein in peace and security – this is a Day of eternal life!” They will have all that they desire – and We have more for them (i.e. a glance at the All-Mighty, the All-Wise)” (Surah Qaf :31-35)
Let’s call on Allah by His Beautiful Name as-Salam and ask Him to bestow this blessing on us. Ameen.
