“[They say]: Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us Mercy from You. Truly you are al-Wahhab (The Bestower).” (Surah Ali-Imran :8)
“Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-mighty, al-Wahhab (The Bestower)? (Surah Sad :9)
“He said: “My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me. Verily, You are the Bestower.” (Surah Sad :35)
All praises be to Allah Who is known by the Beautiful Name, al-Wahhab, the Bestower. He is the One is possesses mercy, generosity and kindness, and He bestows them on His servants as He wills. He tells us:
“My mercy encompasses all things and I shall decree it for those who have taqwa.” (Surah al-Araf : 156)
We should therefore see no limits when asking our Lord to meet our needs. We should ask Him to bestow His blessings upon us both in this life and in the Hereafter. We should ask Allah by His Beautiful Name al-Wahhab, to bestow on us those things that will draw us nearer to Him. Allah answers these calls as He wills, and His answer is always the best.
