“He is Allah, other than whom none has the right to be worshipped. The King, the Holy, as-Salam, the Giver of Security, the Ever-Watcher, the Al-mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allah! [High is He] above all that they associate as partners with Him.” (Surah al-Hashr :23)
All praises be to Allah who is al-Muhaymin, the Ever-Watching. He is the One Who sees all the hidden matters. He is the One Who knows all that the hearts keep concealed. His Knowledge encompasses all things.
Imagine for a moment, yourself in Ramadan. You are fasting earnestly, diligently reading Qur’an everyday, standing in the night in prayer. It’s almost as if you feel closer to Allah, and closer to His Deen.
Now imagine yourself at the moment. Do you see any differences?
During the other times of the year, we have a tendency to forget that Allah is watching us. We sit and watch TV, maybe seeing things that we shouldn’t, things that we may not want others to know about. But Allah sees us. He is al-Muhaymin, the Ever-Watching, and He knows all that we conceal and all that we reveal. When we realise the implications of this Beautiful Name, it should encourage us to be careful of all of our actions, all of the time. And with Allah lies the highest reward.
