“For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil description and for Allah is the highest description. He is al-Aziz (the Almighty), al-Hakim (the All-Wise).” (Surah an-Nahl:60)
“It is He who is the only deity in the heaven and on the earth. He is al-Hakim (the All-Wise), al-Alim (the All-Knowing)” (Surah az-Zukhruf:84)
Allah is al-Hakim, the One to Whom belongs the highest wisdom. He is the One who is All-Wise in His creating and ordering. He is the One who made well everything that He created, and He made nothing in frivolity. He, all praises and glory be to Him, has not legislated anything that is vain or of no use. He tells us in the Qur’an:
“And who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who have firm faith?” (Surah al-Ma’idah: 50)
He is the One to whom belongs judgement in the beginning and the end. He has three areas of ruling that no-one else has a share in: He rules over His servants with respect to His law, His decree and His recompense.
