After a long journey through many spiritual traditions, I finally found Truth in the most unexpected of places – Islam. And so, 20 years ago, my journey to Allah began. Along the way I have been blessed to read many things that have soothed, nourished and moulded my heart and these are the things I want to share with you. I am not a scholar, I seek only to convey some of what I have learned using trustworthy sources. Any good that you find here is from Allah the Almightly, and any wrong is from my own self.
O Turner of the Hearts, keep my heart firm upon your religion. Ameen.

MashAllah – very clear, concise and written with beauty. Please all who read, spread to friends, muslim and non, may ALLAH SWT bless the writer and accept this from them. Ameen. Recommend 1. Ihsaan 2. Qadar
The tests will keep coming, the above 2 hadiths I think are relevant to dealing with them. If we only achieve ihsaan in one things in our lives, let it be the salah. Ameen.

Bismihi ta’Ala – As salaam alaykum wa rahmtullahi wa barakaatuhu:
Alhamdulillah. Alahmdulillah. In your comments about yourself, you write “After a long journey through many spiritual traditions, I finally found truth in the most unexpected of places – Islam. And so, 10 years ago, my journey to Allah began.”
I started on the same journey to Allah a long long time (maybe eons) ago way back:
(Wa ith aakhatha Rabbuka min Bani Aadama min zhuhoorihim thurriyyatahum wa ash’hadahum `alaa anfusihim ‘Alastu bi Rabbikum’ Qaaloo ‘Balaa shahidnaa’ an taqooloo yawma ‘l-qiyamati innaa kunna `an haatha ghaafileen.
“When Your Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam – from their loins – their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): “Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?”- They said: “Yes! We do testify!” (This), lest you should say on the Day of Judgment: “Of this we were never mindful” (al-`Aaraaf, 7:172)
But after treking all these miles and all these years; I keep arriving at the wrong place. Kindly pray that Allah guide me to Himself and that He accept and love me. None other than He wants me alive.
Was salaam

Yes, the hadith explanations are a summary of the Commentary on the Forty Hadith of An-Nawawi by Jamal al-Din Zarabozo, published in three volumes. You can find the link by clicking on ’40 Hadith’ in the drop down menu, inshaAllah. Highly recommended.

MashAllah, sister, May Allah reward you for your blog! Sister, can I ask you a technical question related to wordpress? As you see, I have also a blog on WordPress in Hungarian language about my life in Egypt and issues related to the culture and people of Egypt. I would like to know how you can list on the top of the page your articles? You have “Home”/ About/ Allah’s names/ 40 Hadith,…etc. How did you do that? I cannot find it out….JazakAllah kahyran!

Just below where you find new ‘post’ you will find new ‘page’ those listed at the top are pages and you can order them by number. They will not be sent to your followers, so do not put new material here, it is better for archiving inshaAllah.
