As-Sami’ (the All-Hearing)

“Allah judges with truth while those whom they invoke besides Him cannot judge anything. Indeed Allah is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.” (Surah Ghafir [40]:20)

“My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.” ( Surah al-Anbiya’ [21]:4)

All praises be to Allah who is as-Sami, the All-Hearing. He is the One who hears everything, all the sounds and voices, all the whisperings of the heart. He is the One who understands our needs. Indeed He is closer to us than our jugular veins. It is a sign of His greatness and power that He hears, and answers, the prayers of all the people who turn to Him and call upon Him.  Allah tells us:

“And when My slaves ask you concerning Me, then (answer them) indeed I am near (to them by My Knowledge). I answer the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me…” ( Surah al-Baqarah [2]:186).

Let’s turn to Him and ask Him by His Beautiful Name as-Sami, the All-Hearing. He promises to answer us.
